Lite (door glazing)
The glass area in a door — and the shorthand for how much there is: “half-lite” (glass on the top half), “full-lite” (mostly glass), “quarter-lite,” and so on.
What it means for you
More glass means more light and a higher price — and it changes the energy math. On a door, U-factor is the number that matters, and a mostly-glass door has to hit a stricter ENERGY STAR U-factor than a solid one to qualify.
