Product (manufacturer) warranty
The window maker's guarantee against defects in the frame, sash, hardware, and glass seal — separate from the installer's labor warranty.
What it means for you
Read it for three things: what “lifetime” means, whether parts (glass, frame, hardware) carry different clocks, and whether it's prorated. Also note most product warranties require an install per the maker's instructions — a sloppy install can void the whole thing — and a “covered part” rarely includes the labor to put the new part in.
