A glassed-in room with minimal or no insulation, not tied to the home's heating and cooling — comfortable spring, summer, and fall, but not in real heat or cold.

The budget path to a bright indoor-outdoor room, often built on an existing patio or deck. Two honest limits: it won't be comfortable year-round in NC without help, and it generally does NOT count as heated square footage when your home is appraised.
