A quote that breaks the job into its parts — window units (type, size, material, glass, energy ratings), labor, trim and sealants, old-window disposal, permits, and both warranties — instead of one lump-sum total.
What it means for you
The single best tool for comparing bids and spotting what's missing. A lump-sum total hides which corners are being cut; a refusal to itemize is itself a red flag. Ask each bidder for the same line items and the comparison gets honest fast.
