Grilles between glass
GBG — grilles between glass
Decorative grille bars sealed inside the insulated glass unit, between the panes.
What it means for you
The low-maintenance grid: the glass faces stay flush, so you wipe straight across — the common “grids make it hard to clean” worry doesn't apply. The trade is a slightly less authentic look than bars mounted on the glass.
Where you'll see it
The default grid option on most vinyl replacement windows.
Don't be fooled
“Between-the-glass grids are harder to clean” is simply untrue — that's the whole point of putting them inside.
